Catalog: what you sell

Updated by

Everything in Catalog has its own public page with a price, a buy button and (for most things) an "add to cart" option. Prices are in your primary currency; visitors can view an approximate price in other currencies you enable.

Books

A digital book (PDF). Add the title, subtitle, cover, price, author, description, table of contents and the PDF. Buyers get the PDF attached to their receipt and a download link, and find it in their account. Download links can expire or be limited (Settings -> Storefront).

Courses

Video courses organised in sections and chapters (Catalog -> Courses -> Sections / Chapters). Buyers watch in their account with:

  • progress tracking per chapter and "continue where you left off";
  • personal notes per chapter;
  • a certificate when they finish.

Workshops

A single recorded (or scheduled) session with a date, video and downloadable resources. Buyers watch from their account.

Bootcamps

Multi-week live cohorts with a start date, weekly outline, sessions per week, a seat limit, an optional early-bird price and deadline, and an enrolment deadline. The page shows seats left in each visitor's own timezone. When every seat is taken, visitors can join the waitlist:

  • when a seat frees up (a refund, a cancelled bank transfer, or you add seats), the next person in line is emailed within the hour, one per open seat;
  • if they don't enrol within 24 hours, the next person is told;
  • paying is first come, first served; the email is a heads-up, not a reservation.

The Bootcamps list shows "N on waitlist"; click it to see who is waiting, who was told and who enrolled.

Bundles

Several products (books, courses, workshops, downloads) sold together at one price. The bundle page shows what's included and the saving. Buyers get every product in the bundle; refunding the bundle takes them all back.

Membership plans

See Memberships.

Collections

Your own product types: WordPress plugins, templates, Chrome extensions, anything downloadable.

  1. Add Collection creates a type (for example "WordPress Plugins"). It appears in the Catalog with its own public listing page.
  2. Inside it, add items with a title, cover, price, description and the file.
  3. For software you keep updating, switch on Issues a licence key (see Licences and updates).

Services

The work you offer (consulting, development, audits). Each service has a public page and appears in the home page's services section. On the Max plan a service also shows its starting price and timeline, and can be booked as a paid Service Call meeting (see Bookings). On Free and Pro it is a showcase: visitors request a quote through Contact.

Duplicate purchases

A buyer can't accidentally pay twice for the same book, course, workshop, download or bootcamp: checkout tells them they already own it.
