Sell software with licence keys and updates.
Sell your plugin, script or app as a download, and every paid sale gets its own licence key. Your software checks the key with your site, which answers with its status and offers the latest version you released.

- A key with every paid sale
- Domain limits, with local copies free
- Publish releases, buyers get updates
What you get.
A key with every sale
Each paid sale gets its own key, in the purchase email and the buyer's account.
Domain limits
One live domain per key by default, and you can allow more per key. Copies on localhost, .test and .local never count.
Update checks
Your software sends its key, domain and version to your site and hears back whether the key is valid, revoked or over its domain limit.
Releases with changelogs
Publish a version with its changelog and a zip or a download link. Installs that are behind get a signed download link that works for one hour.
Full control of every key
See every key with the domains using it and the version each runs. Revoke, reactivate or free a domain.
Refunds revoke the key
Refund a sale and its key is revoked, so the software stops getting a valid answer.

Questions.
Which plan includes licences?
Licences are on Max, together with digital downloads, bundles, memberships and paid bookings.
How many sites can a key run on?
One live domain by default. You can allow more for any key, and local copies on localhost, .test and .local are always free.
How does my software check a key?
It posts the key, the domain and its version to your site's licence API. The answer says whether the key is valid, revoked or over its limit, and links to a newer version when there is one.
Is licensed software part of a membership?
No. Licensed items are always sold on their own, so every key belongs to one paying buyer.
What happens if a buyer moves to a new domain?
Free the old domain from Sales, Licences, and the key works on the new one.
